They call it a thriller, for some reason. Mostly, I think, because you get kidnapped and then travel in a box with your captors until you manage to escape and run out into the streets. That’s the story. So then you have a number of locations (because you obviously get captured over and over again) to view using Google Maps, and the mission is to solve where you might be within just five minutes so a rescuer can come get you. Looking at signs and finding landmarks is your best bet, considering that most of the locations are within well-known cities around the world. And surprisingly, I was able to draw on my knowledge of famous cities and their ‘tells’ that was gained by driving cars around them very fast…in video games.
There’s something I find slightly annoying about the game, and that’s how you unlock more than five levels – you have to ‘Like’ Nemesys Games’ Facebook page. If you do that, you then receive a code to unlock the rest of the levels. I’m just one of those grumpy folk who can’t be dealing with Facebook, and so I’m certainly not going to do that. Just me being me.
So, naturally, as I only have five levels to play with and I’ve already solved where they all are within three minutes of starting up the game, I have to find something else to do. Of course, I created a little picture collection like a typical tourist and am now going to share that with you – it kept me occupied for five minutes.
